Introducing Playback Resume: Seamless Listening for Your Callers

We're excited to announce a new feature for Dial-a-Podcast Premier users: Playback Resume.

Until now, if a caller hung up or got disconnected while listening to your podcast, they'd have to start the episode from the beginning the next time they called in.

That's no longer the case.

Now, callers can pick up exactly where they left off—even if they call back days later.

How It Works for Callers

Whether someone's commute ended, their call dropped, phone battery ran out, or life simply got in the way, Playback Resume helps them stay connected to your content without interruption.

The feature tracks listening progress per episode and per caller. As long as the caller ID is available (i.e., not blocked or anonymous), Dial-a-Podcast will remember how far they got and the next time they call back they can choose to resume from where they left off.

Available Now on Premier

Playback Resume is automatically enabled for all podcasts on the Premier plan. There's nothing you need to do to turn it on, and nothing your callers need to configure—it just works!

Designed for Real Listeners

Playback Resume has been one of our most requested features—especially from podcasters who publish longer episodes. It's also a natural extension of our goal: making podcasts accessible for everyone, including listeners who prefer (or rely on) phone-based access.

This feature also helps reduce frustration for repeat callers and makes Dial-a-Podcast feel more like a modern streaming experience—even without an app or screen.

As always, we'll continue rolling out improvements designed to make your podcast more accessible, useful, and listener-friendly. If you have feedback or want to see what else is coming, don't hesitate to reach out.
